Present Occupation: Staff member of Faculty of Minerals  and Petroleum, International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan.

 

2015- 2016 Seconded to University of Bahri have been working as staff member in the Collage of Petroleum Geology and Minerals Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology , Khartoum, Sudan.

 

2013 – 2015 Seconded to Alasmarya Islamic university working as staff member in the Faculty of Marine Resources, Department of Geology,  Zelitin Libya.

 

2009 – 2013 Associte prof. Secretay of Academic Affairs at Red sea University , Portsudan, Sudan.

 

2009: Promoted to Associate Professor in the Dept. of Groundwater Resources. Faculty of Earth Sciences, Red Sea University

2004-2009:  Assistant Prof. and Head of the Dept. of Groundwater Resources.

 

1997 – 2004: Lecturer  in the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Red Sea University, Dept. of Groundwater Resourcces.

 

Feb. 1994-Aug. 1997: Researcher as a post-graduate students in the Institute of Environmental Studies, University of Khartoum, leading to M.Sc.

 

Jan 1989 – July 1990 Training period in The Rural Water Corporation as field hydro geologist.  Responsible for well location, well design and related field works.

MAIN INTERESTS

Physical geology, Fundamentals  of hydrogeology,  groundwater exploration, well design, well tests, well hydraulics, hydrochemistry and water quality, groundwater modeling and management.

PROJECTS

– March 2004- May 2005: Groundwater exploration and evaluation projects in the southern coastal plain (south of Tokar) executed for the Sea Ports Corporation. The project included geophysical survey, supervision of well drilling, well design and test pumping.

– April 2004 Groundwater exploration using geoelectric survey  at Khor Allatit, Al Rugal west of Haya town excuted for PCL Indian Company for road construction.

– March-May 2004:  Groundwater exploration project at Al Bauga area, River Nile State done for the Red Rock Company which working on gold exploration and mining.

– Aug. 2005 – oct. 2006 Groundwater exploration and evaluation projects carried out for Tasneem Company for water services in the south of Sudan to supply potable water for UNMIS Camps in Juba, Malakal, Wau, Rumbeik, Al Nasir and Maredi. It includes geoelectric survey, supervision of drilling and well design.

Water well siting using geophysical survey and well design at Salum station, Red Sea State upon request of the Consultant of the Greater Nile Company (GNPOC).

– April 2004 – Dec 2008 Groundwater exploration and evaluation projects (geophysical survey, supervision of well drilling, well design and test pumping) were conducted in collaboration with the Red Sea Water Corporation (RSWC) in many localitiess of the Red Sea State (Haya, Sinkat, Halaieb, Tokar and Portsudan).

– Aug. 2011, Conducting a research funded by East Research Group (ERG) on water resources of  Khor Braka Basin, eastern Sudan.

SUPERVISION

1- Five students’ patches (1997-2001) who had been awarded the degree of Technical Diploma in groundwater and drilling.

2- Four students’ patches (2003-2008) awarded the degree of B.Sc. in Earth sciences (Hydrogeology).

3-  M.Sc. in hydrogeology (Hydrogeology of Adeit Basin, Eastern Sudan) Collage of Graduate studies Red Sea University 2009.

4- M.Sc. Thesis in partial fulfillment of Master degree in geo-technology ( Relief wells in Roseris Dam, Sudan), Sudan Academy of Graduate Studies and Research, Khartoum.

5- M.Sc. Thesis in partial fulfillment of Master degree in geo-technology ( Geo-electrical investigation of groundwater aquifers in East Nile area, Khartoum), Sudan Academy of Graduate Studies and Research, Khartoum.
