1 did carry out a regional geological mapping of a small part of the Nuba Mountains (centeral western Sudan) and an engineering geological mapping of the Sabaloka ring compex (north centeral Sudan) for my B.Sc. (Honours) in geology at the University of Khartoum.
b . In 1979-1982
I led groups of GRAS geologists to conduct geological and engineering geological surveys and search for natural construction materials around major towns in Sudan e.g. Khartoum, Kassala & Nyala.
c . In 1983
I was a student of the post graduate Diploma course in Engineering Geological survey, ITC. Enschede, the Netherlands. During this course I had one month training in Iereida region, Spain, Also I had 2 weeks training in Germany.
d . In 1984
I had been a student of the International Training Program on composite materials technology (duration one month) held at the Free University of Burselles. Belgium.
e . In 1985
I did carry out a geotechnical mapping of the Nyala area (Western Sudan).
f . In 1989 – 1992
(i) I did carry out a geotechnical mapping of the Khartoum area (Central Sudan).
(ii) For my Mphil research problem I tested some Sudanese aggregates for their alkali-reactive potential. The aggregate samples were collected from different parts of the Sudan e.g. Khartoum, Red Sea, Darfur and Northern provinces Also during my stay in England where I was doing my MPhil research I made field trips and visited some U.K concrete structures

I was employed by GIBB Lted for the supervision of the ground investigations and related laboratory testing, which were carried out by Geological Research Authority of Sudan (GRAS) in respect of the feasibility study for the proposed Roseires Sennar and Jebel Aulia hydro-electric projects.
